The Imagina Children’s Orchestra and Choir Delight 1,200+ Attendees
In honor of its 6th Anniversary, the Imagina Childrens Orchestra and choir delighted an audience of more than 1,200 people at the Manuel Doblado Theater in Leon, Mexico. The orchestra is comprised of 220 students ranging from 7-17 years old. Orchestra director, Oscar Argumedo, commented that when the orchestra first began six years ago there were only enough instruments for 70 students, but with the growth and success of the program, they have been able to expand to accommodate more than double that number. Oscar has seen first hand the tangible improvements that this program has brought to not only the students who participate, but also to the cultural development of the underprivileged community it serves.
